Prospective Clients

We offer specialized services in bioinformatics, field research, biological and genomic data generation designed to serve a broad spectrum of clients. Our team has decades of experience in navigating diverse environments and analyzing complex datasets, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results to support your research, conservation, and environmental management efforts:

Academia and Research: We provide comprehensive support for systematics and population biology projects:

  • Publication quality systematics and population biology projects under genomics and bioinformatics frameworks.

  • Collection and or generation of biological datasets followed by analyses and interpretation of results to answer research questions.

Herbaria: Our fieldwork and bioinformatics services assist in the collection and genomic study of plant species, enabling deep evolutionary insights and enhancing taxonomic projects.

  • Systematics of species or genera combining the power of genomics with traditional taxonomic and phenotypic approaches.

  • Facilitating field work, collection trips, and permitting for collection/vouchering of focal plant species.

Botanical Gardens and Nurseries: We assist in optimizing horticultural specimens through genetic analysis, ensuring the selection of ideal source populations, and supporting conservation and biodiversity management.

  • Elucidating geographic variation associated with horticultural specimens.

  • Thorough environmental and genetic analyses to optimize the horticulture of focal plant species

  • Facilitating identification of ideal source populations

  • Permitting, collection trips, and seed or sample collection of specimens.

Conservation: Tracking population dynamics of rare or threatened species/ecosystems is crucial for their conservation. Our services track genetic, ecological and phenotypic diversity in native species, helping you develop strategies to conserve endangered species and ecosystems.

  • Population level field-work and analyses to help land managers understand genetic and phenotypic diversity for conservation of native species.

Invasive Species and Land Management: We offer detailed analyses of the spread and impact of invasive species, aiding in the development of more effective environmental management strategies. Tracking population dynamics and variation of invasive species helps land managers understand how they are affecting and spreading through local ecosystems to improve environmental management.

  • Systematic, genomic, and field-work based services to study invasive species.

Agriculture and Natural Products: We support the agriculture sector by characterizing the genetic diversity of plant species used in products, ensuring consistency and accuracy in production. Plants used as consumables derived from wild sources may have variants associated with different geographic ranges or environmental factors.

  • Characterizing genetic and phenotypic diversity associated with plant species used in agricultural or natural products contexts.

  • Characterizing the genetic variation and taxonomy of plant consumables

Fermentation Industries: Whether you’re brewing beer, kombucha, fermenting wine, or studying microbial communities found in nature (i.e. soil, plants, or animals), we provide insights into the bacterial and fungal species you work with.

  • Characterization of communities found in fermented products

  • Genetic analysis (i.e. diversity and phylogenetics) of microbial communities

  • Functional analysis of genes

  • Phenotypic and biochemical analyses

Education and Mentoring: We offer tailored mentoring for biologists looking to build their skills in bioinformatics. Our one-on-one mentorships guide you through key skills and custom pipeline development, helping you design and execute your own research projects. Based on your educational and or research goals we identify and guide you through key bioinformatic skills as well as designing your own analysis pipeline to facilitate your research and give you longterm skills.
